Short personal films made by ten disadvantaged 13 to 19 year olds are
broadcast on the Community Channel today (Friday 15th May). The films
are the result of a Channel 4 and Mediabox filmmaking competition,
giving young people the opportunity to write, direct and produce short
documentaries. I’ve watched three - by Sarah Coupe, Dequa Osman and
Jordan Rolfe - and they give a personal insight into lives in a way
rarely seen on the mass media here. (I think there’s a problem with the
sound on Jordan’s). You can watch the videos on the Community Channel’s
